The no-frills POCOphone F1 is just the beginning and we’re excited to see where the POCO family can go in the future. It’s not completely clear why Xiaomi decided it needed a sub-brand, considering it could sell the powerful Mi 8 at a competitive price and really give all the “flagship killers” a run for their money. Perhaps the strategy will become clearer over the coming year, as Xiaomi works to differentiate its product lines. For now though, let’s just say that the POCOphone brand is off to a great start. Speed is a big part of Xiaomi’s POCOphone F1 marketing campaign and for good reason – the F1 excels at it.

A lot was riding on this first device from Xiaomi’s sub-brand and, as far as I’m concerned, the experiment is a resounding success. In the box, you’ll find the phone, a USB-A charger (goes up to 12V/1.5A), a USB-A to C cable, and a TPU case.

Not to mention, Pixel Experience has maintainers around the world who work round the clock to quell bugs in a timely manner. The current version of this Ported ROM is Android 12 (S) | Public Beta 3. As the OS is a direct port from Pixel 5, you can find every exclusive future of it working on your POCO F1. You can go through the changelog, working aspects and bugs of this ROM given below. I can’t watch videos taken with the cam on the built-in player without giving it access to phone calls. I get nearly the same result on 4G or WiFi as my Pixel 2XL, which means that signal strength is inexistent indoor in my pharmacy and WiFi doesn’t reach the stock room.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO has launched the Redmi K50G as the POCO F4 GT in international markets. If you’re having a hard time keeping up with all the phone announcements, we don’t blame you.

But sadly, we haven’t seen any official information from the company regarding this elusive device over the last year. This led stock firmware file people to believe that the brand was essentially dead. Energy Notch battery indicator has been updated to support the camera notch of the OnePlus 6/7/7T, POCO F1, Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G, and several other phones. The Paranoid Android team now has official Android 12 (“Sapphire”) builds available for more phones, including the Xiaomi Mi 8.
